I discovered some more houses that are painted with a branding purpose in mind (at least that is what I presume). One is for sure, it’s a Nokia cafe/club. The other is a hairdresser men/women. And the last one is an advertising agency that asked an artist to paint the facade. As I have already mentioned in my prior post about this topic, I really like this type of branding. In Holland for example you cannot just paint your facade (or do anything else with it for that matter) without having a permit to do that (and likely get it declined), but here evidently there does not seem to be a problem.
More streetart I encountered in Colegiales and Palermo. Some are from the same artist I guess, because of the same style, but I’m not sure. I have not seen an artist paint ‘live’. It seems that some house owners asked them to paint their house, or maybe they did it theirselves? I hope to encounter one soon, so I can interview him/her. I would like to know where they get their inspiration and if there are hidden purposes to these paintings etc.
Some more streetart I encountered in my neighbourhood -Palermo Hollywood- and in Collegiales.

I like this a lot, it’s not some scribbled down graffity in strange words which I’ve seen many times in Amsterdam for example. Much effort has been put into the drawings (or most of them). I’ll post more images of interesting graffiti-art drawings as soon as I’ve taken pictures again. » continue reading
